I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in Westlake Village. I work with adults, teens, couples and families on all kinds of emotional, behavioral, and relationship issues. I have a particular interest in life transitions, career development, and relationships. My specialty is helping individuals deal with anxiety, panic and OCD through a holistic approach which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person Centered Therapy (PCT).
When you meet with me, we will openly discuss the therapy process and treatment options based on agreed upon goals. Therapy will mostly be present-focused, and explore the thoughts and beliefs that influence your feelings and behavior. Together, we will work toward your goals, and improving your sense of well-being, by making changes to the ways in which you manage day-to-day life. I will work collaboratively with you to understand your experiences in a nonjudgmental way, creating a safe and supportive space to explore difficult and distressing issues.
After graduating with a Master’s degree in Counseling from CSUN, I received specialized CBT training at the UCLA Anxiety Disorders Clinic for the treatment of anxiety disorders, including panic disorder, social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder, and OCD. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UCSD. I have a lifelong personal and professional love of music and prior to my experience as therapist, I had worked in the music and technology field managing computer networks and providing technical support and services to musicians. I currently integrate my experience to help individuals achieve more balance in their lives, offering extra support and guidance through challenging situations and helping people find the courage to let go of fear, self-doubt, anxiety, and anything else holding them back from reaching their dreams.
